New pieces I've been working on in the last couple days. The Kentrosaurus (dinosaur piece) was a commission that I'm really happy with. I need to do more dino pieces. I think the next one might be a terror bird...while not a dinosaur, still one of my favorite prehistoric animals. The middle piece was a spontaneous muse I did last night. Got inspired by the antlers of a prehistoric moose-stag called a cervalces. and the first is my tribute piece for my late little buddy, Charlie. I'm planning on mixing some of Charlie's ashes into the paint too and in the style of my "unsung muses" it's a portrait of me and him. The symbol above is an Aboriginal symbol for "journey with a resting place" it also kinda looks like his eye. And it made sense since i think he'll come back to me someday and he always watched me work so yeah! I also have this tattooed on my wrist.
Yeah I miss the little guy. I mean I know some people might think "he was just a lizard" but he was a lot more. They have little subtle personalities. :) Plus he was around for when I started developing a style that you see here!
Working on a hardcover book of original work that I hope to get an ISBN for and pitch to stores. So expect to see a lot of muses and dinos!
